Hello Everybody,
I'm honored to be serving as the KAGW Youth Club President for this year of 2012. I already know a few of you, but I hope to meet all of you very soon. I will try to get to know everyone, but feel free to come up and introduce yourself if we haven't talked before. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on our youth club's direction this year.
We already have many great events planned, one of which has already taken place. For everyone who attended, you know that the Soup Kitchen in DC on Jan 1st was a huge success, and I hope that the year can continue forward with the same impetus. Some of the other events we already have planned are:
1. Talent Time - A day where everyone can showcase their talents and express them to everyone.
2. Crossroads - An event that builds leadership and confidence and is designed to prepare the youth for the future.
3. Sports Day - A day of intense sports and competition in which you can participate in several activities and sports events, including Tennis, Track, Basketball, Soccer, and Volleyball.
There are also many supplementary community activities as well as many unannounced events, and we hope you will all be able to come to as many as you can! As the year progresses and our plans for these events are solidified, I will make sure that you will all be informed.
In order to facilitate communication and friendly relations between the members of our young community, there is a facebook group named "KAGW Youth Club" that I strongly urge you all to join. From there you can meet many of the other members of the youth in KAGW as well.
I look forward to having a great year, and ask you to please give us your full support. We need the youth to participate to make this year successful, so please contact me with any ideas or suggestions you have for events or activities. Thank you so much, and I hope to see your active participation throughout the year.
